Voices from the Classroom 2024: A Survey of America’s Educators

Voices from the Classroom 2024 explores whether teachers see promise on the horizon, or see us missing a moment worth capitalizing on. It asks how schools can keep pace with a rapidly changing world, rather than preparing students for a quickly dissipating past. The teachers surveyed in the report tell us loud and clear: We must reimagine the teaching profession, right now, to include the infrastructure and resources teachers need to advance high-quality instruction and learning.

Tell LAUSD: Increase Teacher Prep Time

In order to retain educators and make the teaching profession more sustainable, we are calling on the district to build in more time for teachers to practice their craft during paid working hours.

Skyline Report

In 2021, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) launched Skyline, a digital K-12 curriculum that aims to ensure every student can access high-quality, rigorous instructional materials that engage their interests and reflect their identities. While this bold initiative was greatly needed and demanded by educators and advocates, CPS teachers have repeatedly voiced concerns regarding implementation, support, student accessibility, and material quality.
