Save the Date: In Conversation with Chancellor David Banks

Join us for an engaging evening as we dive into the future of education in New York City with Chancellor David Banks. This event, facilitated by NYC teachers, will be an engaging discussion on advancing literacy and math instruction in our schools.

Who: Chancellor David Banks and New York City Educators

What: An educator-led conversation with Chancellor Banks featuring the formal release of recommendations for high-quality math education in NYC middle schools, along with a discussion on the ongoing implementation of NYC Reads. The evening will include opening remarks, a panel discussion with E4E educator leaders, and a Q&A session.

When: Wednesday, June 5, 2024 | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Where: Teach For America space, 25 Broadway, New York, NY 10004

Why: This event will be an opportunity for educators to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the Chancellor directly about the current state and future of NYC Reads and to formally share our recommendations for math education in middle schools. This is also a chance for educators to hear the Chancellor’s vision for NYC Schools, and make their voices heard on important issues.
