We’re calling on LAUSD and Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho to adopt an equitable pay model that will incentivize educators to work at understaffed schools and commit to these school sites for the long run.

There’s no time to waste in our effort to establish a curriculum that is inclusive, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming and ensure that our teaching practices are grounded in what works best for students.

In order to retain educators and make the teaching profession more sustainable, we are calling on the district to build in more time for teachers to practice their craft during paid working hours.
