Educators for Excellence-Chicago Names Courtney Hrejsa Executive Director
“Courtney Hrejsa joins E4E-Chicago with deep expertise and demonstrated success in working with teachers across schools, nonprofit, and philanthropy to enact meaningful changes for students,” said Evan Stone, co-founder and co-CEO at Educators for Excellence. “Under her leadership, E4E-Chicago will continue to build on its past success supporting educators to advocate for a system that centers the needs of students and honors the critically important work of teachers.”
Hrejsa most recently served as Federal Project Director and Director of Teacher Leadership Strategy for Chicago Public Schools where she worked hand-in-hand with teacher leaders and principals on the south and west sides to design, implement, and scale a modern career pathway for teachers.
“As a daughter of public school teachers and union members, proud graduate of public schools, and a former educator with over seven years of service to Chicago Public Schools, I am thrilled to join E4E-Chicago and committed to empowering student-centered teachers to lead us toward the education policy change they deserve,” said Hrejsa.
In her role as Executive Director, Hrejsa will support E4E-Chicago’s more than 7,400 E4E-Chicago members, to ensure that Chicago teachers’ voices and student-centered perspectives are not only rebuilding but reimagining the public school system.
