Lauren Jacobson

National Learning Experience Manager

Lauren hails from Cleveland, OH where she grew up in a family of educators who instilled her with a love of learning and a commitment to public education from a young age. 

Lauren has over 8 years of experience in adult education, online learning, and learning design within the education technology sector. She also recently completed her M.A in Learning, Design, and Technology from Georgetown University where she focused on inclusive design, learning experience design, and serious games.

Lauren received her B.A. in International Affairs and Geography at The George Washington University. After graduation, she spent a year in Banjarmasin, Indonesia on an English Teaching Assistantship through the Fulbright program. There, she cultivated a love of teaching. Upon returning to the States, Lauren began teaching mapping and coding workshops through her local Women Who Code chapter and volunteering in the D.C. tech community. 

Lauren joined E4E because of her passion for public education and belief in the power of teaching. She has seen firsthand how our education system does not serve all learners and seeks to bridge the opportunity gap and support the training and empowerment of teachers through her work.
