Educators for Excellence (“E4E”) is committed to protecting your privacy online. Your use of www.e4e.org (the “Website”) indicates your acceptance of this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). If you do not accept all of the terms of the Policy you should not use the Website. We may amend this Policy from time to time. We will post the date of the policy update at the top of this page.

  1. Information We Ask You to Provide.
    • We may collect personal information from you if you visit the Website, become a member, make a donation, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, register for an event, fill out a form, or in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources made available on the Website. “Personal Information” is information that would allow someone to identify or contact you, including, your name, address, phone number, and email address.
    • While using the Website, you do not have to provide Personal Information and you decide the amount of information you wish to provide.
  2. E4E’s Use of Information You Provide.
    • E4E uses Personal Information collected about you to provide you with information and services, to enable you to participate in features on the Website, to customize our services to individual needs, to provide customer support, to contact you regarding updates about the Website, and to advance E4E’s mission.
    • E4E may share your Personal Information with its agents, partner organizations, and local chapters for the purpose of advancing E4E’s mission. E4E will not sell, rent, or disclose Personal Information to unaffiliated mass marketers.
    • If law enforcement or judicial authorities require us to provide them with your Personal Information, we must cooperate with the authorities if their request is supported with the necessary legal documentation.
  3. Nonpersonal Information. We may collect nonpersonal information about you when you visit the Website. Nonpersonal information may include IP addresses, browser types, access times, and technical information concerning connection to the Website. We may use this information for internal purposes, for example, to improve the Website, analyze usage patterns, and negotiate with vendors of Internet services. That information does not include your Personal Information.
  4. Security. E4E treats security seriously and takes reasonable measures to protect each Website user’s Personal Information. E4E is not, however, responsible for any information you share with other users of the Website or other third parties. While we strive to use industry-standard practices to protect your information, E4E cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

You may limit the collection and use of different elements of your Personal Information by not participating in those activities for which we collect Personal Information, as listed above. You may discontinue the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information by limiting or discontinuing your use of the Website altogether. You may request to be completely removed from our database by contacting us using a method below.
  6. Privacy Protection for Children. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use the Website. In voluntary compliance with the terms of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, E4E will not knowingly permit persons under the age of 13 to provide information to E4E through the Website or otherwise. If E4E later learns that a user is under the age of 13, E4E will take appropriate steps to remove that user’s Personal Information from the database and restrict that user’s access to the Website.
  7. Links to Other Websites. The Website may contain links to third-party websites. E4E is not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of those websites. Once you link to any third-party website, you are subject to the terms of service and privacy policy of that site. We encourage you to investigate and ask questions before disclosing information to third-parties.
  8. Donations.  If you make a donation to E4E through the Website, you will be transferred to the website of StayClassy Productions, Inc., an online fundraising platform for nonprofit organizations. You can follow the “Terms” link at the bottom of the Donations webpage to learn about the terms of use and privacy policy applicable to your donation to E4E through the StayClassy fundraising platform.
  9. Notification of Changes.
    • We strongly believe in respecting your privacy. We will amend this Policy if and when it is necessary. Please check back to read the most recent version. Your continued use of the Website means that you consent to our updates and amendments. In some cases when E4E updates its Policy, it may email you to notify you of the changes, if you have provided your email address to E4E.
    • In the unlikely event that E4E would like to use your information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, E4E will attempt to notify you by email, and you may opt not to allow E4E to use the information in this manner.
