Shundrice Tucker

Organizer, Lead

Born and raised in the South, Shundrice grew up in a religious household that revered educators and valued service to others. She earned her bachelor’s of science from Tennessee State University and a Master of Fine Arts from DePaul University.

Shundrice has served in nonprofits and public schools as a drama teacher, program director, teaching artist, paraprofessional, and volunteer coordinator in and around Chicago, Queens, and Saint Paul. She is guided by the Marian Wright Edelman quote, “If you don’t stand for children, you don’t stand for much.” As an outreach director, she is enthused to organize diverse educators around advocating for public education policies that benefit students and teachers.
