Jordyn Miller

Born and raised just outside of New Haven, Connecticut, Jordyn grew up always eager to learn and willing to help others. While studying at Hofstra University on Long Island, Jordyn made the difficult decision between pursuing a degree in early childhood education or communications. Ultimately, she pursued communications and decided to focus her efforts on nonprofit initiatives and strengthening the communities surrounding her. 

While working at her first internship in communications, she had the opportunity to provide public relations services to several school districts throughout Long Island, and discovered a way to combine her passion for communications with her lifelong interest in education. 

Immediately prior to joining Educators 4 Excellence, Jordyn worked at a public relations and marketing agency in Connecticut, where she served as a communications expert for several nonprofit organizations and worked closely with teachers through her communications efforts with a social-emotional learning program. 

Jordyn joined E4E because she believes that educators should have a say in the legislation that affects themselves and their classrooms, and she envisions a world in which all students have access to an equitable and excellent education.
