Katy Kadree

Katy Kadree is a native New Yorker who grew up in public schools and in a family with educators. She began her career teaching in China, an experience that gave her deep respect for the complexity and importance of the profession.

For more than 20 years, Katy has worked across K-12 education to help translate vision into aligned priorities, drive human-centered implementation, and improve outcomes for teachers and students. As the former Director of Organizational Effectiveness for DeKalb County School District, she launched the KPI management dashboards to enhance transparency, build trust, and monitor performance across academics, operations, finance, and human resources. At New York City Public Schools, where Katy served for more than a decade, she held multiple leadership roles spanning strategic planning, system-wide progress monitoring, technology partnerships and initiatives, and federal competitive grants securing more than $13M in funding and $90M in in-kind resources.

Katy is excited to be part of the E4E team and help build the conditions and structures that enable teacher voice to drive meaningful change. Katy lives in Atlanta with her wife and kids. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Purchase College and a master’s degree in Urban Affairs from the City University of New York at Hunter College.
