Jie was raised in Manhattan, NY, and lived there for about 16 years before moving to Brooklyn. She attended CCNY for her undergraduate studies, where she developed her passion for working with numbers through the classes she took and the internships she held. After graduating during the pandemic, she pursued her Masters at Brooklyn College.
As a first-generation college graduate, she realized that many of her peers from minority backgrounds encountered many challenges in school, such as securing job opportunities. She realized educators’ important role in supporting and motivating these students to accomplish their future goals.
Jie joined E4E because she is committed to creating positive change in the educational field while also gaining experience in finance/accounting. She believes that education can change one’s future.
