Born and raised in Queens, NYC by generations of public school educators and community advocates, Elisa always aspired to be a changemaker herself. Elisa started their organizing journey in the immigrant rights’ movement in 2016 and has been a labor organizer for various non-profits across NYC over the past 3 years. Elisa graduated from the City University of New York’s Silberman School of Social Work and is a Bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker.
As a community organizer and social worker, Elisa has a passion for educational justice work that centers holistic practices. She joins E4E after working closely with NYC rank-and-file union organizers advocating for a more democratic union. Elisa firmly believes in E4E’s vision for our unions and that transformational unions are nothing without a strong, collective educator voice.
