Corinne grew up in the Chicago suburbs and had many wonderful teachers throughout her school years who inspired her to pursue education. In addition, Corinne’s was a family of lifelong learners and hard workers, with both of her parents completing advanced degrees on top of full-time work and parenting.
Determined to lead an enriching and inclusive classroom of her own, Corinne attended Butler University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. After college, Corinne moved back to the Chicago area and taught middle school Spanish for 8 years! It was at this school that Corinne learned not just the ins and outs of teaching, but also the incredible value of a collegial workplace culture and strong internal processes. Corinne also earned her Master’s in Teacher Leadership, graduating during the pandemic.
Shortly after, Corinne’s partner had a career opportunity in Los Angeles, and it was time to move. At the same time, feeling burnt out and struggling post-pandemic, Corinne made the difficult decision not to pursue a teaching license in California. She began working in positions centered on People Operations, Company Culture, and Human Resources. It was in these positions Corinne felt renewed; feeling like she was able to apply many of the things she enjoyed about teaching without as many systemic or emotional curveballs.
Corinne joined the FOPE team at E4E in October 2026. She was thrilled to find a position that aligned all of her experiences, both teaching and corporate, into one!
Today, Corinne uses her knowledge of teaching, leadership, and community building to support people-first initiatives and seamless internal operations. You can find her bopping around Los Angeles, or at LAX, hopping on a plane to Chicago!
