Aisha Jamil

Regional Communications Manager

Aisha Jamil joins Educators for Excellence (E4E) as Regional Communications Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, advocacy, and social justice work. A George Mason University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Communications and Master’s in Social Work, Aisha is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Social Work at the University of Kentucky, where her research focuses on building healing-centered nonprofit cultures through trauma-informed leadership practices.

Aisha’s commitment to education equity is rooted in her belief that education is the foundation for transformative change. She has worked alongside educators at organizations including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the American Public Health Association. Her classroom experience includes teaching after-school programs and leading science workshops for underserved students.

Most recently serving as Senior Public Affairs Manager at the CSG Justice Center, she led multi-platform campaigns and cultivated bipartisan relationships to advance policy reform in criminal justice and mental health. Her work has consistently centered on translating complex policy into accessible messaging and amplifying marginalized voices. Aisha was drawn to E4E’s commitment to centering educator voices in policy conversations and its anti-racist approach to education reform. When she’s not working, Aisha enjoys running and being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her husband and their dog Duke.
