Statement from Sydney Morris and Evan Stone, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of Educators 4 Excellence, on MET Project report

“The MET Project’s report finally provides conclusive evidence that a multi-measured evaluation system consisting of student growth data, student surveys and several observations by multiple observers can positively support individual educators and allow them to grow as professionals. These findings on teacher evaluation are ideas that Educators 4 Excellence members not only strongly support, but also have long advocated for in E4E policy papers in both New York City and Los Angeles. We hope that districts and unions currently negotiating over teacher evaluation systems take heed of this report and understand how important this issue is for the success of teachers and their students.”
