Co-Founder Sydney Morris Comments on New York City's Impass Over Teacher Evaluations

"The risk of leaving tens of millions of federal dollars on the table is shameful, but secondary to the missed opportunity for the city and the union to finally prioritize teaching and learning by agreeing on a comprehensive evaluation system. Teachers want and deserve a system that gives them meaningful feedback to target their development and holds them accountable for their students' growth. This is another example of politics interfering with what is best for students and the teaching profession."
