Tommie Robinson Outreach Director

Tommie Robinson is an education advocate who addresses challenges in an inequitable educational system. Born and raised in Chicago, he credits his own lived educational experiences for his commitment to improving the educational system in his community.

Tommie attended DePaul University, where he majored in political science. During his time there, he came to understand how politics and policies impacted his education. Tommie witnessed the mass school closures in Chicago where he stood alongside advocates, community members, and teachers as a grassroots organizer aiming to prevent school closures and protect essential school programs aimed to support children and families.

After completing his bachelor’s degree, he continued his passion for addressing educational inequities. He spent several years advocating and organizing on behalf of children and working families. Tommie completed his master’s in urban schooling with a focus in public policy from Concordia University in Chicago.

"I joined E4E to support teachers and empower them to use their voice to improve the educational system for students that look like me."
