Originally from California and raised in Connecticut, Lori grew up in a house that emphasized curiosity, exploration, and education. A grateful product of the public school system, she studied creative writing at New York University and earned her master’s in comparative and international education from the University of Oxford, writing her dissertation on integrated education in post-conflict Northern Ireland.
She has previously worked as executive assistant at a private school in Washington, D.C., and program manager of a tutoring company in London. Lori credits her most rewarding experiences and exciting opportunities to her education. That personal history led to her professional dedication to the field so she can work to improve access to a quality education. Lori joined Educators for Excellence to effect positive change in education by engaging with those best able to assess, respond to, and execute education policy: teachers.
