Holly Kragthorpe Deputy Director

Born and raised in Minnesota, Holly wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember. Since high school, Holly has been passionate about school change and public policy. After graduating with a bachelor’s in political science and completing a post-baccalaureate teaching program, Holly taught middle school and high school social studies for the Minneapolis Public Schools.

As a middle school teacher and union steward, Holly initially joined Educators for Excellence-Minnesota as a teacher leader and worked on a teacher policy team to create recommendations for Minnesota’s Quality Compensation program for teachers.

Holly later joined E4E as a staff member to harness the collective power of status-quo breaking teachers. As the Managing Director of Development in Minnesota, Holly enjoys partnering with supporters who ensure educators have the resources they need to raise their voices.

"I am inspired by my former student Hirut who was the most hard-working student I had in my entire career. I want schools to work better for students like her, and I promise to work hard every day."
